Four free days at the Duomo and the museum

The “Milano al Duomo” program opens Milan Duomo and its museum free of charge on four dates linked to the city’s religious or civic history. The first day will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026, the anniversary of the first regulation of the Veneranda Fabbrica adopted in 1387. The Duomo and the Museo del Duomo will be accessible from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations will open on October 9. The Museo del Duomo free on the last Sunday of the month

Free visits to places usually closed

How to book a place

All initiatives in the program require booking on the Milan Duomo website, subject to availability. One person can book up to two places in a single transaction and make a maximum of three reservations per day. Tickets are named. The requested information must therefore be entered carefully and the proof received must be kept. The free nature of the activity changes neither the limited capacity of the groups nor the need to present a compliant reservation on the day of the visit.

If places remain available, the institution indicates that it may be possible to inquire directly at the ticket office on the day of the opening. Visitors must then note the date reservations open, the duration and the meeting point. This last check is essential for the Candoglia quarry, located at via Cominazzini 38 in Mergozzo, and not on Piazza del Duomo in Milan.
