In Lisbon, under-30s can visit the Oceanarium for €9 until 30 September

Lisbon Oceanarium is relaunching its “Que fish és tu?” campaign: from 24 August to 30 September, young people aged 30 and under can buy a €9 ticket online, valid at any time during the campaign, upon presentation of ID at the entrance.

A €9 rate reserved for visitors aged 30 and under

Lisbon Oceanarium is offering a €9 ticket to young people aged 30 and under, as part of the “Que fish és tu?” campaign. The offer runs from 24 August to 30 September and gives access to the site at a price significantly lower than the rates usually shown on its homepage.

The discount is not available on site: the ticket must be purchased online only. Once bought, it can be used for a visit at any time slot during the campaign period. At the entrance, each eligible visitor must present valid ID to verify their age.

“Que fish és tu?”, a visit designed as an identification game

Beyond the price, the campaign invites visitors to identify the marine species that best matches their personality. The “Que fish és tu?” initiative had already appeared in 2024 and returns in 2026 with the same principle: observing animals’ behaviours and characteristics to choose the one they identify with most.

The visit can therefore become more interactive in front of the animals displayed at the Lisbon Oceanarium. The site specifically mentions the sunfish, sea otter, bull shark, clownfish and seadragon among the species young people are invited to associate with different personality profiles.

A campaign supported by Cidade FM

For this edition, Cidade FM is once again a partner in the campaign. Hosts of the morning show “Acorda” are set to select four particularly photogenic locations at the Oceanarium, each associated with a profile inspired by a marine species. The initiative aims to showcase several spaces from a creative perspective and encourage visitors to share their experience on social media.

A highlight is scheduled for 3 September: Cidade FM will broadcast “Acorda” live from Lisbon Oceanarium for a special programme. Between 4 pm and 8 pm, Artur Simões, Pedro Góias and Joana Miranda will host the afternoon with music, humour and conversations with the audience.

Exhibitions that extend the discovery of the marine world

The youth offer covers a visit to the Oceanarium, whose permanent exhibition “Um Planeta, Um Oceano” offers a multisensory experience centred on the diversity of marine life and different habitats. Its central message is that there is one global Ocean across the planet.

The programme presented by the institution also includes the temporary exhibitions “Monstros Marinhos”, devoted to prehistoric ocean giants through life-size models, and “Universo Submerso”, an immersive experience combining a scientific representation of marine life with artistic imagination. “Florestas Submersas”, Takashi Amano’s final work, remains on display until 30 September.

Opening hours, access and services to plan for

Lisbon Oceanarium is located at Doca dos Olivais in Parque das Nações. It is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm, with last entry at 7 pm. Hours change on 24 and 31 December, when it closes at 7 pm with last entry at 6 pm, and on 25 December and 1 January, when it opens at 11 am.

The site can be reached from Oriente station on the red metro line and by several bus routes. The institution states that it offers full accessibility, with ramps and lifts, as well as free Wi-Fi, baby facilities, lockers and restaurants. Parking is also available on site.

Conditions to remember before buying

The “Que fish és tu?” promotion is therefore limited to visitors aged 30 and under and to the period from 24 August to 30 September. The promotional rate is €9, purchase is online only, and entry depends on presenting valid ID on arrival.

The promotional ticket is stated to be valid regardless of the chosen visiting time during the campaign. This flexibility lets eligible young people combine the campaign with the permanent and temporary exhibitions, or with Cidade FM’s special programme scheduled for 3 September, provided they observe the site’s opening hours.
